Ride for the Refugee is an annual event sponsored by two
devoted men in the Panhandle of North Texas.
Barry Loving, senior minister of First Christian Church of Amarillo, and Johnny Harper, a member of the First Christian Church of Pampa, Texas, organize an annual “Ride for the Refugee” motorcycle trip. Riders go from Liberal, Kansas, to Los Fresnos, Texas, collecting funds and needed items from churches along the route, which are packed into a semi-trailer.
